I was looking through poems and found this one and just had to share it. As some of you may know, I lost my mother to cancer when I was just 12 years old. I was a very angry and bitter child and didn't understand how she could be taken from me at such a young age. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 29 and under went surgery. I can remember praying every night that mom would get better and the cancer would just go away but before I knew it the cancer had spread to her bones and not to much longer her brain when it claimed her life at the young age of 32. I am currently 33 years old and it is something that has been stuck in the back of my mind a lot lately. I have all the love in the world for anyone battling any form of cancer and feel the people pain who have lost someone to cancer. May God be with those that are fighting and bring peace to those that have lost someone.
Imagine there's no cancer,
It's easy if you try,
No pain or suffering,
Or waiting just to die.
Imagine all the people,
Living worry free,
Without that ticking time bomb,
That no one else can see.
You may say I'm a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one,
That hopes the world will be cancer-free,
So we can live as one.
It's easy if you try,
No pain or suffering,
Or waiting just to die.
Imagine all the people,
Living worry free,
Without that ticking time bomb,
That no one else can see.
You may say I'm a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one,
That hopes the world will be cancer-free,
So we can live as one.
